Getting from the airport to A Coruña city centre
- City bus (line 4051/A4, Asicasa): connects the airport to the centre (Puerta Real, Plaza de Orense) in 25-30 minutes, departing every 30 minutes on weekdays and hourly on weekends and holidays. The fare is around €1.50.
- Taxi: the rank is right outside the terminal. The ride to the centre takes 15-25 minutes and typically costs €18-25, plus a fixed €3.60 airport surcharge and extra charges at night or on holidays.
- Car rental: available at the airport — worth considering if you’re heading beyond the city, for example toward the Costa da Morte or inland Galicia.
From Alvedro toward inland Galicia
Alvedro sits in the far northwest corner of Galicia, so if you’re headed to the Ribeira Sacra, the drive is longer than from other Galician airports: expect roughly 2 to 2.5 hours via the AP-9 and A-6/A-54 to areas like Monforte de Lemos or Sober. For that kind of trip, renting a car directly at the airport is the most practical option.
